Headteacher's Message
Welcome to Roding Primary School. I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of this inclusive and vibrant two-form entry school, where everyone is truly "Free to Achieve."
At Roding, we are dedicated to nurturing the growth of every pupil, focusing on their development academically, physically, socially, culturally, and spiritually. Our priority is to ensure that every child is happy, well cared for, and equipped for their future.
We take great pride in offering a broad, balanced and rich curriculum, with a particular emphasis on our wider curriculum and extracurricular activities.
While we have a strong focus on the core subjects, which we believe are the foundation for future success, we also recognise the importance of developing skills that enable our pupils to communicate effectively and think critically. Our curriculum approach, combined with enriching experiences, gives pupils the wider opportunities and motivation they need for lifelong learning. Every child is treated as an individual, and through our curriculum, we strive to provide the tools and opportunities for all pupils to succeed.
At the heart of everything we do are our six core values: resilience, compassion, respect, independence, ambition, and curiosity. By the time our pupils leave us in Year 6, they will have embodied these values, fully prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.
We are also proud to offer specialist provision for up to 35 children who are hearing impaired or deaf, further enriching our inclusive community. This unique aspect of our school helps to create a diverse and supportive environment for all.
Effective primary education is built on strong partnerships between children, staff, and parents. We are committed to working closely with you to ensure that your child is valued as an individual at Roding. Together, we will support each child in reaching their full potential.
I feel privileged to lead such a thriving and successful school.
If you would like to visit us in person, please do not hesitate to contact us.
