Uniform
The Roding uniform is based on the belief that it promotes a sense of pride in or school, reflects the sense of community and supports our commitment to inclusion.
Wearing the correct school uniform is something we expect of all of our children; it is comfortable and smart and means we attend Roding Primary school.
Please ensure that your child comes to school in the correct uniform and that all items of clothing and footwear are labelled with your child’s name. Below you can find information about what uniform your child must wear to school, unless stated as optional.
School Uniform (Nursery - Year 6)
Items below are required as part of our school uniform unless stated as 'optional'. The photos above will help you to decide what is needed. It is not compulsory for children in nursery to wear school uniform however, it is advised.
- Navy blue jumper with or without Roding logo
- White polo shirt or white collared shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve)
- Navy blue cardigan - optional
- Navy blue fleece with Roding logo - optional
- Skirt, pinafore dress (all must be plain black)
- Trousers and shorts (all must be plain black)
- Solid black shoes
- Striped/checked summer dress (blue and white) - optional, during the summer term
- Hijab (plain navy blue, white or black) - optional
- Socks - plain black or white socks (white socks can only be worn with the Roding summer dress)
- Tights (plain black only) - optional
Plain black tracksuit bottoms (Nursery only)
The following items can be purchased from Roding school office once your child is on roll.
- Roding book bag
- Roding school jumper with logo
- Roding fleece with logo
All other items can be purchased from high street shops such as: Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda, John Lewis
School Uniform P.E Kit (Year 1 - Year 6)
- T-shirt (plain white only)
- Shorts (plain navy blue or plain black)
- Tracksuit bottoms - optional during cold weather (plain black or plain navy blue)
- Jumper or Hoodie - optional during cold weather (Plain black or plain navy blue)
- Trainers (white or black)
School Uniform - other items of clothing and accessories
- Book bag with Roding logo (navy blue)
- Hair scrunchies/hair ties (plain navy blue, white, black or blue and white checked or striped)
Jewellery is not permitted unless for religious reasons.
Smart watches are not permitted.
Pre-loved uniform sales
We welcome donations of school uniform that your child has grown out of and endeavour to hold pre-loved uniform sales throughout the year. This helps parents who can purchase uniform at a heavily discounted rate.
